lyrics

rocks and their stories,
the things they could tell
first the glacier pressing it down
then the ocean rolls it round and round

getting skipped ‘cross the water
kicked down the street and into the gutter
laid to rest where I’d dropped my keys
getting into the car in the rain

oh the world is very very very old
and I am very very very small
and how come it’s so easy to forget
how we are all connected to it all

rocks and their stories
the world is always trying to speak
I drive off to the grocery store
bedazzled by the mystery
